Can i-SAFE come to my school to conduct a Training, Parent Night or Assembly?
i-SAFE can travel to your school or community to perform trainings, programs, and assemblies for a fee. The charge for this service is based on a three day trip (2 travel days, 1 presentation day.) This charge covers travel expenses and all follow-up services, including materials. There is a per-day charge for additional days requested beyond the three day base rate. Fees are consistent regardless of the number of attendees. More than one presentation of the same program, or more than one type of program can be performed on presentation day.
What services do we get with a paid i-SAFE event?
If you elect to purchase i-SAFE training for your community, i-SAFE will conduct a variety of trainings.
Professional Development Program
Professional Development Programs (PDP) train educators and law-enforcement officials familiarizing them with i-SAFE's program and providing them with a solid foundation in Internet safety issues. Upon completion of a PDP, attendees are i-SAFE certified and qualified to (a) teach the curriculum in the classroom, (b) train others, and (b) develop the i-SAFE program in their communities or organizations.
Assembly Experience
The Assembly Experience (ASM) is a 45-minute, interactive multimedia experience for grades 5 through 12 that speaks directly to the youth of America. With the use of lights, videos, and true-life stories, i-SAFE shows how actions in the cyber world can have serious real-world consequences. The ASM serves as a launching pad for the i-SAFE curriculum, DRiVE Campaign, and the i-MENTOR Program.
i-PARENT Program
The i-PARENT Program is a live one-hour program for those parents who want Internet safety information they can use in their own homes. It provides parents with in-depth information on the topic of cyber predators. Attendees also receive information on how to get involved with raising Internet safety awareness throughout their community by joining or creating a local i-PARENT Board.
The i-PARENT Training is for parents who want to play a more active role in Internet safety outreach by teaching other parents and members of their local community. It is designed to provide information on a variety of Internet safety topics and then to teach parents and parent advocates how to train others to conduct i-PARENT Training in their schools and communities. Attendees who complete the i-PARENT Trainings become Certified Parent Trainers. They, in turn, go on to conduct i-PARENT Trainings and organize i-PARENT Boards in their local communities.
What is the difference between the i-PARENT Program (PNT) and the i-PARENT Training (PTT)?
The i-PARENT Training (PTT) is designed to train others to conduct parent presentations. You will show the Start Here video and all of the topical videos to your attendees. Upon completion, your attendees are certified to conduct future parent trainings and presentations. The i-PARENT Program (PNT) is a program presented to educate others concerning Internet safety issues. At an i-PARENT Program, you may show all or any combination of the videos to your attendees.
