With your contribution and hands-on participation, you can help educate your community about the importance of Internet safety! We encourage you to get involved today.
Volunteers are always needed in the following areas:
Outreach
Utilize your local culture to help extend Internet safety awareness throughout your community.
Create and/or join an i-SAFE Community Action Team. Help raise awareness of Internet safety in your community and empower students to share this valuable knowledge amongst themselves. Contact us to organize a Community Action Team or to learn when the next Community Leaders Meeting is taking place near you!
Educators and Law Enforcement
As an Educator or Law Enforcement Professional, there are many opportunities to get involved and increase Internet safety awareness throughout schools in your community.
In the classroom
Sign a Cooperative Agreement to bring the i-SAFE program to your school district(s). Once a district has provided a Cooperative Agreement to i-SAFE, respective schools launching the curriculum submit individual Implementation Plans to i-SAFE prior to beginning the lessons. Contact us to request a Cooperative Agreement or to learn more about bringing the i-SAFE Program to your community.
Outside the classroom
Organize or be a guest speaker at an i-SAFE i-Parent Program to educate more than just students. Contact us to help organize a i-Parent Program in your community or to learn where and when the next one is scheduled near you!
Corporate
If you have previous corporate volunteer experience and would like to get involved with i-SAFE, or if you are interested in a philanthropic donation, we would be honored to have you as part of our team. Please contact us for more information on getting involved or to make a donation.
As part of our corporate volunteer program, i-SAFE will partner to build an Internet safety portal with your company. To see an example of just how we can work together to protect the online experience of youth world-wide, here is a portal site we have created with IBM.
Other Contributions
Here are some other ways you can get involved with i-SAFE.
Safety Trained Awareness Team (STAT): Members of our STAT are trained by leaders of the Internet Safety education world. STATs monitor the chats within the i-SAFE Connection to aid in the safety of our guests and to uphold the Rules of the Road at all times. Click here to contact an i-SAFE representative about becoming a part of the STAT Team.
Kids and Teens Junior STATs: We're looking for kids and teens to host and monitor chat rooms on EZStreet (the i-SAFE kids and teens chat room). Contact us if you would like more info about becoming a JRSTAT.
Writers and columnists for The i-SAFE Times (the monthly national i-SAFE newsletter), the i-SAFE Kewl Timez (the i-SAFE newsletter for kids and teens), the i-SAFE website, and more. Contact us if you would like to show off your writing skills and Internet safety knowledge at the same time!
