 Overview of i-SAFE |
|
Education
i-SAFE provides age-appropriate K-12 curriculum to schools in all 50 states. The curriculum is a dynamic interactive program designed to educate and empower the student. Each lesson includes Activity Pages and class discussion. The high school curriculum is a video Webcast hosted by teens on either VHS or DVD format.
Youth Empowerment
i-SAFE helps students do more than "learn" Internet safety. We encourage them to take the subject, make it their own, extend it beyond the
classroom, and spread the message peer-to-peer. This is accomplished through the i-SAFE Assembly Experience and the i-SAFE Student Mentor program.
Community
i-SAFE takes the message of Internet safety beyond the classroom and into communities. You can form a Community Action Teams (CAT) and partner
with i-SAFE to create an i-SAFE City and i-Adopt-a-School. After raising funds for their school of choice the CAT holds an event to announce the
adoption of the school and implementation of the i-SAFE Education Program.
Parents
Schools and communities lay the foundation to raise awareness about Internet safety. But the parent is the most critical component in helping a
student develop proper cyber citizenship. The i-SAFE team is here to help you host a Parent Night or create an i-PARENT Board.
Law Enforcement
The connection between Law Enforcement and Internet safety is vital to the success of the program. Trained officers teach the Predator
Identification portion of the curriculum and it reinforces to students the cyber world is like the physical world with consequences that are real.
We also encourage anyone who is looking to volunteer time or donate funding to the Internet safety cause to help us make a difference! Click here to go to our secure Donations page.
